Austin, Texas is home to some of the country’s best amusement parks. Located right in the heart of the city, Six Flags Fiesta Texas is one of the best. A bit of scaring does not come with this ride, however; instead, you get an intense drop, then a fast plummet back into the water.
The Johnson brothers owned this popular amusement park for a long time: This old amusement park still offers plenty of rides for children to enjoy. It also has food stands, movie screens, and snack bars for visitors to enjoy while they wait for their attractions to begin. The Giant Tree House is the largest of the Johnson Brothers’ parks. It is located in the Woodland Park area, near the Houston freeway.
Austin’s Six Flags Over Texas is another great place for amusement parks: There are more than 20 rides in all, plus many fun games. The parks are divided into segments called Encounter Parks. These have different themes, including the Wildwater Wilderness, the Backlot, the Movie Yard, and the Backlot again. Six Flags Over Texas also has the Texas Stadium Dinner, which is themed after football.
